Here’s a brief description of what to expect on a typical private tour with me, starting in Koper, Slovenia.

The most distant and perhaps also exciting offshore excursion you can do from a cruise ship docking in Koper harbour, I believe is Bled Lake in the Alps. Imagine you’ve spent a week cruising around Mediterranean and then in less than 2 hours drive from your ship you can reach this place from a fairy tale.

If time permits we’ll take “pletna“, a traditional wooden boat to the iconic island with a pilgrims church on it, to make a secret wish ringing the bell there.

On the way back you’ll be able to visit Ljubljana the capital and perhaps have a lunch by the lazy river Ljubljanica.

Another scenic castle is waiting for us not far from the highway, revealing a meaningful story from the past – cave castle Predjama.

Before embarking back on your ship, we shall still have a chance to taste some of the best wines the country produces.

The tour schedule depends on actual docking hours, as well as weather and traffic conditions on the day.
